In a world where corruption can undermine development and erode trust, this course provides the critical knowledge and skills needed to analyse complex situations and design impactful anti-corruption strategies.
The course draws on current research and real-world practice, and is designed for development professionals, policy-makers, civil society actors, and anyone working on or around anti-corruption issues.
What you'll learn
The course is divided into three modules. Each module builds on the last, guiding participants from conceptual grounding to practical application:
- Understanding corruption
Understand the causes of corruption in order to prevent and mitigate its effects on development outcomes. - Analysing corruption
Corruption measurement explained – including strengths/limitations of different approaches and how to assess anti-corruption efforts. - Anti-corruption interventions
An overview of practical entry-points for preventing and addressing corruption in development programmes.

- Apply tools for analysing corruption and its drivers
- Interpret and use corruption-related data to inform reforms
